- Update display name in registry, scene title, README, and tooling references
- Load ENABLE word list at runtime; fall back to unsteered random on failure
- Introduce makeSteeredGrid/refillSteering helpers for class/vowel-aware letter placement
- Export LETTER_WEIGHTS from BookworkLogic for reuse by the steering module
- Add `steer` tuning block (wordBoostK, classThreshold/damp/boost, vowelBand) to bookwork.json
- Generate 60 levels across 5 themed tiers (Downtown, Freight Yard, Airport Apron,
Construction, Night City) with guaranteed minimal and unsolved board states
- Rewrite generator (tools/genRushHour.js) with refine() pipeline that strips
redundant vehicles and re-hardens boards, plus hill-climbing phase B
- Add comprehensive verifier (tools/verifyRushHour.js) checking solver correctness,
structural criteria, MINIMAL/UNSOLVED properties, and curriculum shape
- Implement procedural vehicle art (RushHourArt.js) with baked textures, per-theme
decals (hazard, hivis, freight, neon), and themed board surfaces
- Move level bank to assets/gamedata/rushhour/levels.json and fetch on entry
instead of preloading at boot
- Restructure level JSON with tiers, level names, par, and difficulty metrics
(decoyDensity, targetRetreats, firstMoveFanout, carsMoved)
- Update level select to display tiers with themed swatches and color-coded labels
- Show level name and theme in HUD during gameplay
- Tighten hint solver with maxStates budget to prevent main-thread stalls
- Update PreloadScene to remove rushhour.json from boot-time assets
- Register Star Control in games registry as 2-player arcade game
- Import and register StarControlGame scene
- Add starcontrol slug mapping in GameRoomScene dispatch
- Load star-control-ships.json asset data in PreloadScene
- Add dynamic ship sprite sheet loading in asset manifest
- Update README to reflect new game in Arcade/Console/PC category
- Update game icons to include Star Control icon (frame 82)
Add character assets (sprites/videos) and sound effects for Aiko, Blackwind,
DV-8-2303, Kage, Nadia, Nicole, and Steve.
Power overhauls:
- Extreme Ball: lasts 2 shots, cascade splits into 4 balls on 2nd bounces
- Cannonball: adds Space Blast-style explosion on green peg trigger
- Beam Up: retargets to a clear-path orange peg on return
- Overclock: lasts 2 shots, grants free ball every 6 pegs, pitch-rising hum
- Laser Sweep: follow-up sweep on random orange peg after 1s delay
- Shadow Slash: follow-up slash on random orange peg after 1s delay
- Cosmic Bloom: adds small Space Blast around green peg
- Rewind: glitch effect, portal opens targeting clear orange peg, refunds on drain
Add visual effects (shockwave rings, portal animation, glitch bars, split
particles), happy reaction dedup per ball, and comprehensive verification
tests for all new mechanics.
Remove all server-side documentation (Express, SQLite, auth, email, uploads,
API routes, migrations, prerequisites for native bindings) and replace it
with accurate documentation for the fully static, buildless frontend:
- Quick start with any static file server
- Deployment to any CDN/object store
- 77-game catalog with categories
- Scene flow and local backend (localStorage, localApi shim)
- Word-game engines running client-side
- Project layout reflecting the no-server structure
- Adding a new game (updated for client-only flow)
- Developer tooling and data files
Reflects the migration from a Node.js/SQLite backend to a pure static site
using native ES modules and Phaser from CDN.
- Remove Socket.IO dependency, server multiplayer logic (lobby, room management), and client-side socket service
- Replace multiplayer-only flow with single-player AI gameplay; add `OpponentSelectScene` for AI configuration
- Simplify game registry to use `minOpponents`/`maxOpponents` instead of `supportsMultiplayer`/`multiplayerOnly`
- Update game registration to remove multiplayer flags and adjust `games` table schema to hardcode `supports_multiplayer = 0`
- Remove `SOCKET_IO_CORS_ORIGIN` from environment configuration
- Update documentation to reflect single-player architecture and simplified game creation process
- Fix minor UI issues: add width to buttons in auth scenes, fix auth listener cleanup in LandingScene, restore DOM layer visibility in Modal
